More than 150 qualifying athletes from across the nation converged on Shreveport to compete for All-American honors in nine men’s and four women’s weight classes, marking a major milestone in the launch of collegiate grappling.
This first-year pilot season showed remarkable nationwide engagement, with 21 universities joining the NCGA and over 250 athletes registering to compete. Sacramento State Captures Team Title With Dominant Performance
Sacramento State claimed the overall team championship, powered by a strong showing in both the men’s and women’s divisions. The Hornets brought home five individual national titles, including:

Cal State Northridge Finishes Second With Four Gold Medalists
Cal State Northridge delivered a major statement of its own, earning four individual championships:
